I met Fred and Gwyneth when Toby was tiny, through the Suffolk Festival. We continued contact for years through Toby’s singing. I was lucky to experience working for Fred and Gwyneth at Hillcroft. My favourite memory was going to London to perform “Carrots” at the RAH, and the epic coach journey. Fred was so knowledgable and passionate and gave us a guided tour of London from the bus: I felt much cleverer after that journey. I also remember him speaking Latin to the assembled school. I was in awe. Thank you Fred and Gwyneth , for involving me in Your lives. My dad was terribly fond of you both, and always referred to Toby’s arrival as a gift in your lives. I like to think he and Fred will have a yarn and a pint now, and as you said Gwyn, be beyond the pains of this troubled world. Sending so much love to all three of you, and everyone else who is affected by the loss of this wonderful man. Xxx
